Day 63

Today was kind of a blur. It didn't start out great. I was in a weird mood because of some random stuff. We had to get up early because we were going to Chartres by train. We were suppose to leave the house at 6h45ish. I didn't get up till 7h00 so you can imagine how that went. I got ready in five minutes, so no big problem.

We went to Montparnasse train station to go to Chartres with the group. I enjoyed traveling with he group. I get to shepherd people and I like that most days. It makes me feel like I am needed and that I have a job. The train ride was only an hour. I slept on Ally's lap the whole way and ended up with a big button print on my forehead. That was fun.

We went to the cathedral, which is an important one. Not quite sure why still, maybe because it is the oldest in France. I know it's sad I don't know. We had a tour by Malcolm Miller, who is a famous tour guide of this cathedral. He has been researching this cathedral for over 50 years. he knew his stuff, needless to say.

We came home on a 14h30 train and that was it. I met up with Michael and Elder Johnson so that I could say good bye to Elder Johnson. He is getting transferred tomorrow and I am sad to see him go! He calls me Aunt Helvey. We are going to be friends when he gets home I have decided.

I got some good news today so my day improved. I had a lovely dinner with my host family and Allyson. I really do enjoy spending time with them most of the time. I usually have a pretty good idea of what we are talking about, which is always nice. I love it when they start to bicker with each other, as the French do regularly, and I can still understand a lot of it, even if it is fast. I will miss them when I leave in just over three weeks! I am so sad to be nearing the end!!!!

Ally ran into this sign, not quite sure how, but she has a bruise. (This is a reenactment)
Ally would like me to clarify here that she was reading a sign to her right, so she ran into it.
I guess that happens to all of us sometimes...NOT!!!

The trains station-not sure why it's that important, but I have a picture of it, so I'm going to post it.
