Day 55

Well today was a Monday. I got up really late. We were only a little late to class though. Class was actually interesting today. In religion we talked about the church in French speaking Europe during World War II. It was interesting to hear about how the Saints faced the war and how things developed after. In Civilization we talked about the French in World War II in general. It was interesting to see how there are different opinions on how things happened and why they happened. I really like studying history for the last century. Maybe because people that I know and love, experienced life during those times.

After class and FHE with the group, our director took the group to The Bald Soprano. It was like an oddity french play. I understood a lot of it. I liked it, but it wasn't amazing (only because i missed most the jokes). But it was in a tiny theater in the latin Quarter and it was fun to be in this tiny french theater.

Ally and I decided a little after 23h00 that it would be a really good idea to watch Enchanted. It was fun to watch the movie, just because it is so cute and happy. Maybe there really are happy endings! Where can I find mine?

We got to talking about Disney movies and we were listening to some Disney songs. It is hilarious to me the things that we talk about. We were discussing Mulan's song and how she just doesn't feel like she is good enough and (best line of the night) Ally says, "but in the end...she saves all of China!" HAHAHA how sad that we try to gain reassurance from Disney movies. I love Ally!

  1. I look forward to hearing the French history as rewritten by many. I'm not thinking that the play would be something I missed much. :-)

Did you see Mook? He and I were trading emails, but they got delayed and I got one an hour after he sent it and then another 2 hours after he's net it saying I must have left. :-( I guess he'll know next week when he gets my emails that I didn't leave him without saying goodbye.
